Hi I'm Deante...
OVERVIEW
Deante Young (born April 1, 1977 in the Glenville district of Cleveland, Ohio) is an American entertainer, writer and filmmaker. He is the creator and host of the controversial reality series, "a Date with Deante" which is produced by his fledgling production company Dirty Truth Films. From 2002 to 2005, Young was also an underground musician in the sub-genre "alternative hip-hop" during which time he released 10 CD's.

EARLY INFLUENCES (1982-1990)
At the age of five, Young became an enormous fan of music legend Michael Jackson. Says Young: "As brilliant as his artistry was, I became transfixed by Michael early on as I greatly admired his singularity. He was always different from the crowd and seemed to wear his uniqueness like a badge of honor. That forever encouraged me to march to the beat of my own drum." Young also became a huge fan of comedian Eddie Murphy while the jokester was still a rising star on "Saturday Night Live." About Murphy, Young says: "Eddie caught my attention as a child because he was not only funny, but obscenely hilarious. At my tender age, it was considered a huge no-no to watch his films, most of which were profanity laced R-rated comedies. His brash, yet matter-of-fact monologues about women and sex struck a chord with me just as Richard Pryor did. The taboo nature of their comedy drew me in and set the stage for my own lifelong comedic sensibilities." Young was also a huge fan of the sitcom "Three's Company," particularly John Ritter's iconic portrayal of the goofball ladies man Jack Tripper. "John always made me laugh out loud at his incredible ability to turn any mundane situation into a hilarious sideshow." Throughout the 1980's, Young's developing personality was essentially built on an amalgamation of Murphy and Pryor's raw and unadulterated wit, Jackson's eccentric originality and Ritter's outright silliness.
